Meedhupparu

On our way to Meedhupparu on the seaplane.  A resort island with lots of water villas in North Male Atoll.  The reefs at the right and at the top are several metres under water.

Meedhupparu island in Raa Atoll at last.  The long south jetty is to the left, with the dive centre's kit store and compressor room in the building half-way along.  Photo taken from the left side of the aircraft.  We'll shortly bank round to the left and circle the island before landing at the left of the photo, and then enter the lagoon to tie up alongside one of the two floating pontoons attached to this side of the jetty.

A few seconds later - we've passed over the eastern end of the island.  From top to bottom:  the north jetty, the water villas, and the water villa restaurant.

Preparing to tie up at one of the pontoons.  One of the seaplane crew has jumped down onto the float to get the mooring line ready.  The dive centre's building, with a golf buggy parked in front of it ready to take passengers to Reception.  The seaplane's window is freshly splashed with salty water from the landing.
