Athuruga Island

On our way to Athuruga.  View of Male, the smallest capital city in the world, from the seaplane.  You can just see the southern end of the international runway on Hulule island at the top left, and you can also make out the bridge being built by the Chinese to link Male and Hulule.

This completely tame, presumably hand-reared, lovebird had given me a shock at breakfast a few days earlier by suddenly landing on my shoulder.
