On checking a facemail of the original Margam Bapts Register at Swansea Archives I found the following - Llewelyn son of Thomas David by Mary his wife was bapt.22.June 1788. 1812.June.27th. Margam Abbey Church.
In fairness to the Glam FHS they did have it indexed in the patronymic form, based on the fathers Christian name. but they did have an error with the date given as 22.Aug.1788. They gave the event as Llewelyn by Llewellyn Thomas and Mary 22.Aug.1788.

The David Family of Crugwellt Margam.
It was on the 9th.of April 1776 that Thomas David of the parish of Pyle and Kenfig, married Mary Llewellyn of Margam at the Abbey Church of Margam. Between 1776 and 1804 they had eight children who survived infancy, five boys named Thomas,Edward,Llewellyn, William, and David with three girls named Mary, Elizabeth and Ann.
The1814.Margam Estate Maps show us that Thomas David held a House and garden and 15 Acres at a yearly rent of £6-3-9d. This was in the located spot of the later named Crugwyllt Isaf.

MI. C80. Margam. Thomas David of Crugwyllt Fach died 9-10-1834 aged 86. Also Mary David wife died 12-3-1841 aged 88 Also Mary David niece died 30-6-1886 aged 82.

Thomas Davd who died at Grickwellt Fach. 9.Oct.1834. had made his will on the 7th.Dec.1833. Thomas making his mark with an X. and witnessed by David Evans smith. Margam Thomas Davies Hole in the wall. [ Thomas Davies I already know all about, For David Evans see David Evan born abt.1806] The will was proved at Cowbridge on the 28.April.1835 .When his widow Mary made her mark with an X. and their son David signing his name David David. Stating that the entire estate was valued as under £1000.
The main points of the will were that he left eight shillings to be shared equally between his four sons and four daughters. And the rest of his goods going to his wife Mary and his other son David.

After the death of Thomas David in 1834, his widow Mary remained at Crickwellt Fach with her son David. Also living with them was Mary`s daughter Ann born in 1792 and had married David Jenkin of Llangynwyd at Margam 28.Oct.1817. They had children born at Crickwellt Fach in the years 1817 to 1833. They were to be found at Sychpant. Farm Llangynwyd Cwmdu by 1841.
With widow Mary David dying at Crickwellt Fach on the 12th..March 1841 it left her know married son David David and his wife Margaret at Crickwellt Fach. They remained there until their deaths there Margaret in 1855 and David in 1860.

19 April. The Will with a Codicil of John Pritchard late of Timsbury in the County of Southampton Yeoman who died 21 March 1872 at Timsbury was proved at Winchester by William Carter of Lockerley in the said County Yeoman and Daniel Newman of Romsey in the said County Gentleman the Executors.
